Since we came to Japan, we`ve had a lot of oportunity to have Sushi, but most of time they were from supermarkets. So with kids request, we went out to "Kaitenzushi" which is the sushi bar with a revolving conveyor belt.
First, we must have some green tea. It was self-service and was aready set on the table.
The green tea powder goes in a cup first, then

pour hot water in to the cup from the tap attached to the table. you can have as many cups as you like!
And a beer for my dad. Asahi Super Dry!!
It was not only to take the food which going around on the belt but also there was a touch screen next to the table and we were able to order what we want from it . And the food we orderd came on a red plate on the belt, and it made beeping sound when it came near our table. So we know the red plate which didn`t beep weren`t ours!

They had a wide range of Sushi selection, and some of them made us think weather we should be calling those Sushi! (it is sushi though, as it had vinegerd rice underneath....!)
Here are some of pictures to make ypur mouth watering.....
a cooked scallop and leeks
Prawns and avocado with sliced onoion and mayo
a raw sardine or could be a saury
can`t remember what this is......
oh, I know, it`s yakiniku(thinly sliced beef grilled with teriyaki sauce) with eggs!
a Nattou- farmented soybeans with soysauce
Fried prawns with mayo!
saute of Pork slice with cheese!

and Beef burger!!

Kids hardly ate "normal" raw fish sushi because there were so many other to choose from.
And also some desserts were going around on the belt too, which made Viz really impatient!
My phone`s battery died so I don`t have any photos of desserts, but we did eat almost all the varieties there were on the belt! (I must say those sweets weren`t that good.... stick to the sushi!)

It`s almost the end of september, but we still have over 30c everyday...
According to weather forcast, we are going to have rain tomorrow and after that thr temperature will drop suddenly and we`ll be in Autum!

This summer, Viz had such an interest in insects and he was running around in various parks with a net and box almost everyday. It`s getting cool and we have less insects flying around, so this one could be the last report of what Viz caught.....!!!
After school, he went to see his friend and came back with this big dragonfly!
It`s so gorgeous! It was in a box with a grasshopper and holding on to it. I thought the dragonfly was going to eat it! (but it didn`t)
In the house, we took it out of the box and we expected it to fly around like mad but instead just sat on our fingers!
See how big it is! The markings on it are so clear, and it had green eyes like glass spheres.
After we admired it for a while, we let it go from our balcony.
doesn`t he look like he's saying, "don`t make me fly please~! I`m too scared!!"
He sat on my finger for a long time before Viz had enough waiting and pushed it off.
On the way back home , with the dragonfly in one hand, we found this big spider too!
It had black and yellow stripes on it`s body and some stripes on the legs too.
It was about an inch long , just the body, so with legs it was about 2 inches.
Just having a moth for it's supper!!!
Viz doesn`t like spiders, so he didn`t want to put this in his box..... good...
In the 10 minutes we took taking this photo, I had a few bites from mosquitos.
And kids had more than 10 bites! in each leg!!!
Well, that's all for now..... x

The other night we had a visitor from our balcony.
He just walked in when my mum open the sliding glass door.
This is him, Chon the pray mantis!
this is one of the creatures Viz wanted to catch for sometime, and now he got it!
It`s funny how we get these insects. It seems we just come across when we aren`t looking for it!
At 7 o`clock next morning Viz and Hunny were down to the park hunting grasshoppers for Chon.
In ten minutes, they found a few and put that in a box. Then, in a couple of minutes Chon got one of then and started to eat! He was hungry, he ate two of them in very short time!

Next day we had another camping trip(same place as before) so, we left Chon under my dad`s care.
At the campsite, Viz and Hunny caught more grasshoppers and took them home for Chon.
One of grasshopper was big. That night , my mum found this grasshopper had strange thing coming out from his bum. As we watch an orange rumpy thing started to come out with white floss. It was laying eggs!! They bury eggs in the ground, but poor thing had to do it on plastic floor!

Then, smaller but same kind of grasshopper came near......
huh...?? Is it eating eggs???
And another small brown grasshopper came doing samething.
They must be eating eggs....!!!
And on the right under cucumber, green grasshopper`s dead. It looks like squashed by this big rump of cucumber...( actually it wasn`t squashed but it`s just more fun to think so...
And top of the box,
there is Chon, still hunting...
Oh, there were lots of dramas in this little box.
P.S. We found a strange looking hairy(spikey??) caterpillar at the campsite.
It looks like mini moving cacutas!

I knew that a larva of dragonfly lives in water but never knew what looks like.

On the way back from most places we go, we walk pass this ditch along the street of my parent`s apartment.

It has more water after rained and almost dried up after few days of sunny spell.

There are quite few wild life here as it`s got little bushes next to it, and here Viz found strange looking creatures in it. ( he literally groveled on the pavement and looks in to it often!) He knew they were larvae of dragonflies and he brought them back home.

Isn`t this ugly looking?

We put them in a plastic container with chopstick for them to climb out of water when they emerge.

The very next morning, we found a shell stuck on to the tank which Viz`s tortise is in!!

We wanted to see what kind of dragonfly will emerge, so we put a dome shaped mesh over the container.

But sadly the other two died in water.

We are not sure why, but probably the food we gave them(pellets for tortise as we thought they both eat simmiller thing) wasn`t good as lot of people say feeding these larvae are pain to feed as they like living(moving) creatures. That case, we need to sit down front of them and move their food around chopsticks or something untill they eat it!!!

Next door neighbor of the larvae, Viz`s turtle.

He is very greedy! Viz got some tadpoes from the same ditch he got Larvae of dragonfly and put them in the tank. They were about half size of this turtle so we thought they`ll be ok. But one by one they disappeared with out any trace!!

And after that Viz caught a frog from the ditch again, and put it in a tank......(we did warn him this time!)

Next morning we only saw frogs bits are floating mercilessly.....

As Viz and Hunny really enjoyed watching a baseball game in the stadium, my dad took another tickets for the game. Last time we watched in outside stadium, but this time it was the domed baseball stadium.

Hanshin Tigers(The team Viz and Hunny likes) VS Hiroshima Carp(The team my Mum and Dad like)!!

We were given yellow t-shirts with the logo of Tigers on it at the gate as they were holding the special event of filling up the stadium with yellow(Hanshin Tiger`s colour as Osaka is their home town).Hunny and Viz in yellow, I wore itfor a while too but it was too hot, needed to take it off!

The ceiling of dome looked like a part of space ship!

we imagined it gets activated and all the player get sucked up in a ship and audience will be running around in panic!

Offence of Hanshin Tigers at 7th inning. now-established custom, fling jet balloons!

Hanshin is loosing, so let the balloons go with a hope....!!!

Hanshin tigers was lost. Viz wasn`t happy AT ALL!!

But they have won before and after of the game which we went to watch with big points!!

It was just a bad luck!!
