A very long veg, Gobou, burdock root. One of the veg I miss when I`m inUK.
It has earthy flavour, but nice when it`s fried, stir fried, simmered or boiled...

First it needs to be washed. I`m using a special glove which has lots of bumps on the palm to remove dirt and outer skin easily.

Then chop it to match stick size as I`m making a salad.
Boil it for a few minutes and mix the dressing in.
Tonight it was mixed with carrots and mayonase.

Dinner is ready!

The salad is in a white bowl. Other dishes are fried king prown with girlic and pea sprout, tomato and broccori salad, potato, spinach and salmon bake, and a bowl of rice.
