Night out in Kyoto

My Hubby and I went out to the city we love - Kyoto.

We didn`t know but a big summer festival called GionMatsuri was held and we could see a little bit of procession with a portable shrine.

Mikoshi(portable shrine) in a middle, not very clear pic as people were walking and things were moving...

We met up my Hubby`s old friend who still living in Kyoto.

He tok us to this pub called Hub, and it had an atmosphere of English pub.

Inside, they had a TV screens too. so It must got bit crazy in there while world cup was on.

I was suprised to see so many "gaijin"(foreign people) in there.

It seemed that every table had some gaijin sitting, some mixed with Japanese, some on their own groups!

Kanpa~i!! Cheers!

My Hubby and his mate. It had been over 13years since they saw each other.

And my tropical yoghurt drink. I think it was alcholic but very weak as I was still standing up straight after two of this!

We met up few more people who were friends of my Hubby`s friend.

We moved to another pub called "Pigs and whistles" which was also an English pub!

there were pool tables and foot ball game tables too.

After the pub, we moved to the club where we stayed untill morning.

music was awful, but one of our friend could get us in free, so we just sit in the chill out room half sleep.....

when we came out of the club, it was 4:30 in the morning, and still, so many people were out and about! Many places open untill morning, so people really stay out!

The photo was taken about 5o`clock, still loads of people on the street!

time to go home and have a nap before we have to face our little monsters!
